Location details

“On the exterior, traces of the ancient perimeter wall are still visible, featuring a frescoed triptych depicting the Deposition and Saints, which reveals the style and expressiveness of the Biazaci brothers of Busca”.

Research by the expert Laura Marino specifies that in a “document dated 20 May 1281 – which ratifies the submission of Busca to Marquis Tommaso I of Saluzzo – mention is made of this church, already known at that time as Madonna del Ciocchèro (that is of the bell tower).

Destroyed in 1691, it was rebuilt in the Baroque style on the ancient ruins”.
