Location details

The city walls, built in the mid-15th century and featuring Guelph-style battlements, are still visible in sections: to the north, along Corso Giolitti, incorporated into 18th-century houses; to the west, in Viale Concordia, behind the Annunziata apartment blocks; and to the south-west in the ramparts overlooking the Talutto and the Maira. Of the five gates, the remains of Porta Buffa, on Viale Concordia, and Porta Santa Maria, on Corso Giolitti, are still visible.
