Chiot Martin hamlet, Busca, CN
In the hamlet of Chiot Martin stands the Chapel of the Holy Annunciation, dating from the medieval period, which bears witness to an even older Marian cult in the valley. Inside the chapel is a fresco from 1474 by the Biazaci brothers, with the inscription “Thomas e Matheus frescaverunt”.
The Madonna and Child on the throne, depicted in full profile with her head tilted slightly to the right, has large eyes and brow ridges that meet the straight nose in the characteristic style of the Biazaci brothers (see the book “Mistà”, p. 130).
