All that remains of the original building is the bell tower, which was extensively remodelled and stripped of its spire in 1740. The fa\u00e7ade is made of terracotta and has two floors divided by a cornice. The large portal, which remains unfinished, opens onto the lower part. The walnut door by Castelli dates back to 1728.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the vast and bright interior hall with Corinthian pilasters, attention is drawn to the perspective opening onto the infinity of the presbytery, entirely frescoed between 1782 and 1785 by Carlo Scotti with scenes from the life of Mary and her Assumption into Heaven, a grandiose composition reminiscent of the great artists of the Italian 16th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The balustrade enclosing the presbytery is of considerable value. It is made of Busca alabaster, arranged to simulate walnut wood. On either side of the nave there are two altars by Gallo, with stucco work by Cipriano Beltramelli dating from 1728.<\/p>\n\n\n
